2023 Rolex Datejust 41 126300 Green Dial Review

Green is Rolex’s signature color. From time to time, we see new products from the brand in this vibrant hue somewhere on the dial or bezel, and for 2022, the copy Rolex Datejust debuts a new, incredibly intricate sunburst mint green dial. It’s brightly colored but elegant – perfect for the iconic Datejust collection. For the new 2022 collection, there are several green dials Datejust design options, including 41mm or 36mm, and Oystersteel or white Rolesor. Today, we are showcasing the reference 126300, the sporty and modern smooth bezel, and the Oystersteel version of the new green dial Datejust 41.
Rolex released the first 41mm Datejust in 2009 and called it the Datejust II. It satisfied collectors’ desire for a more oversized Datejust watch but left room for improvement. 2016 sees the Datejust 41 in two-tone, slightly more refined case shape and a thinner bezel. It also featured Rolex’s newer 3235 perpetual movements, replacing the 3136 movements used in the Datejust II.

The Reference 126300 entered the market the following year. Compared to its two-tone predecessor, the Ref. 126300 was positioned as a more affordable and versatile option in Rolex’s proprietary 904L grade Oyster steel. Today, the Datejust 41 ref. 126300 is available today in a 5-piece Jubilee bracelet or a 3-piece Oyster bracelet, as well as a black, slate, bright blue, bright blue fluted, Azzurro blue, silver, white, mint green, or mint green fluted dial.
This brings us to 2022 when Rolex seems to have listened to the wishes of their most loyal followers and finally offered us the first Datejust 41 with a solid green dial, which they officially labeled “mint green.” The Datejust’s signature automatic date conversion mechanism is always present at the 3-hour markers, while Chromalight, which emits an attractive blue light, fills the applied 18-carat gold hour markers.
Rolex produces the Datejust 41 ref. 126300 with an Oyster bracelet and a Silver Jubilee bracelet, allowing you to choose the model that best suits your lifestyle – sporty or dressy. Due to decades of Rolex watchmaking expertise, both straps are supple and very comfortable on the wrist.
Rolex invented the first water-resistant replica watch in 1926 with the famous Oyster case. Decades later, the Oyster case remains a fixture in the brand’s catalog, taking on the daunting task of protecting the complex movement.
Even if Rolex discontinues their latest green dial – which is not surprising considering they discontinued several of their most popular “Stella dial” Oyster Perpetual watches at the 2022 Geneva Watch Fair – the 2022 green dial Rolex Datejust watches will undoubtedly hold their value well and become even more collectible than they are today.
